I got hired with two other scholars. I was paid substantially less because I was so obviously a risk. They both washed out pretenure. God help me I’m still standing

“Objectively” and “visual aesthetic” seem to be kinda in tension there…..

Is it still that funky algorithm. Used to be a funky manual algorithm…I saw it once… it was like glimpsing the face of (a dark and unkind) God.

I dunno where op is but it’s gotten insane here and literally only kids waaaaaay out get the bus due to budget cuts. Even there sometimes it’s like “3 days a week max” which must suck for parents.

Honestly if they had the initiative for shared study notes I’d be happy! It’s open note but “verbatim copy someone else”. But these couple are really wrong and I can’t prompt engineer my way to anything close to it for any common LLM.

Still always in awe of how many apartments Canada builds compared to the US

In the most recent data, the US permitted 35k multifamily housing units and Canada permitted 24k despite being only 12% of the US population! If California built 5x as many apartments, it still would trail Canada!
