Motaz Alostath: Motaz is Marah’s husband and Mila’s father. He worked as an architect before the war but lost his home and job to the bombs and is trying to provide for his family anyway.

Ahmed: Ahmed is trying to support a family of 9 people while living in a tent in southern Gaza. His whole family hasn’t been getting nearly enough to eat and has had to endure multiple bombings.

Soad Eqbal Al-Mutrabii: Soad lost her entire family to the war, with the exception of her young son Omar, who has chronic thyroid problems. She was a nurse before the war but lost her job and had to flee south with Omar after her home was destroyed in a bombing.

Reem Osama: Reem is a university student trying to complete her education while living in a tent and trying to support her family, including her mother Olfat, who has a heart condition, and her fiancé Sakher. Reem has recently been really sick from malnutrition.

Marah: Marah and her husband Motaz are trying to provide for their young daughter Mila despite having lost their home and jobs to the war. She and Mila have both been sick from malnourishment after many months without enough food.
