We have retired neighbours who take pride in putting their (correct) bin out the day before (were ’allowed’ to) so we all know which to put out when returned from work - now the clocks have changed it’s dark so we have to point a torch at their bin to figure if it’s blue, brown or green.

This happened to me twice, recently. 1. Train stopped at a station and stayed stopped. No buses. Got a taxi for the 200km to my destination. 2) train stopped in the middle of nowhere for 45 mins so missed connection. No support from staff to reorganise trip. I was in Finland. It’s everywhere.

War would end - Russia wouldn’t feel need to be expansionist. USA can pull out of NATO and concentrate their military on the pacific. UK would have to rejoin otherwise be left out in the cold.

Ex-COBOL programmer. I was heavily indoctrinated into IMS Hierarchical databases. Worked on the Y2K conversions of yy = 00 then yyyy 1960). Sent onto Object Orientation and a couple of JAVA courses in the mid 90s. I Didn’t understand a word of it! Scarpered off into Project Management.

A good start to rejoining as this would also pander to the obsession with blocking FOM. But, UK would insist on a clause to allow it trade deals with countries outside the bloc - unacceptable to the EU & I don’t see anyone capable of negotiating on the UK side.
