In amongst all the excitement I fear many have missed this outstanding bit of trolling by Friedrich Merz.

The Chancellor gifted Trump a gilded framed copy of his grandfather’s German birth certificate... reminding Americans that Trump is both the child and grandchild of migrants.

In the GE we voted Labour to get rid of the Tories (LibDem and Greens combined get less than 10% in my area). But at least we thought ‘change’ would have been for the good. We did not vote for Tory-lite followed by a giant leap further to the right. Time for the disenfranchised to find a home.

How about inviting Russia and Ukraine to join the EU? Russia get access / contribute to the world’s biggest - frictionless- market. Investment into Russia’s agriculture, mining and industry would flood in from EU.

I’m from the small-town-midlands vacuum. In 2016 I didn’t read newspapers and got my news from all TV outlets. Facebook was a thing to share family news. I’d never heard of Banks, Cummings, Elliot, Tice or Hannan until the negotiations started. I received 2 flyers one to remain and 1 to leave.

My first post. I think about problems & solutions - a lot. I’m happy to change my opinions as evidence is presented.
So Farmers IHT: Instead of IHT, apply a tax immediately the land is sold after passing on. If the next generation continues to farm then no tax until they decide to sell.
