Thanks to @documental.ly substack (which I’ve been a paid reader for years) I’ve just read this sobering account about Superintelligent AI.
I haven’t felt this way since walking out of the cinema after seeing “The Day After” in 1983. I’m just much older and have less life to miss out on this time.

After nearly 50 working years I’m retiring in 5 hours. And other than payroll and my immediate supervisor, no one knows.

Fiddling at work I grabbed some Tasmanian myrtle and carved this spoon. It was nice to fiddle between jobs from time to time.
