The geometry of NAVSTAR S/C w.r.t Earth looks crudely like this, so as you can see the whole disc of Earth is fully illuminated though the signal travels further and through more attenuating atmosphere at the edges. So if there is an outage it should be observed uniformly over a very large area. 3/n

Nice try, want see my UK passport? Lived in and around and dealt with Eucalyptus about half my life. The history of Eucalyptus in the Western US has valuable takeaways. I’ve seen the ~150’ Eucalyptus in the bottom right of this photo drop multi thousand pound boughs in storms.
