This makes me want to buy a heat pump.
Sad news about the Happy Heat Pump Podcast.

Sorry to say, that after about 20 episodes, we’re drawing it to a close at the request of the BBC which worries it may be seen as steering into areas of public controversy.

Hats off to the team on this one. Extraordinary impact on a modest budget. Feels like the creative really hit the mark. I know the team loved collaborating with @kidneycareuk.bsky.social too. Hopefully the start of a long and special partnership.

We use Revolut at Claremont and have had to report stolen cards twice in the last year. The first was caught quickly and dealt with easily. The second was v time consuming but eventually sorted. Both sobering reminders that Revolut cash is at risk, so we never keep much in there.
The banking Revolut-ion - but it’s still not quite a bank in UK and has a terrible record for fraud and a worse one for reimbursing victims bit.ly/497Tm36 George was very lucky to get his stolen money back. For thefts from 7 Oct 2024 it should be different. We’ll see.
‘Thieves went on a £21k shopping spree with my Revolut cash’
The digital firm that is on its way to becoming a bank has a poor record on complaints from fraud victims, finds Ali Hussain

This has troubled me for some time. Just as we need better measures of a nation’s success than GDP, we need better measures of a school’s success than exam results. Happiness is an underrated outcome for both.
A lot is justified in the name of exam results. It’s okay to control every moment of a child’s day, if the school can show they get excellent exam results. It’s okay for parents to be complaining, and children to be protesting, if the school can show improving exam results. /1

🧵There's a line of thought that Trump's victory means progressive causes are doomed in the court of public opinion. I don't think that's true, but I do think it shows more thought needs to be given to what ought to be a tautology but infact often isn't - inclusive progressivism.
