The whole "my country is full" nonsense is quite a lazy trope but there is no doubt that things feel fuller than ever - and the reason for that is not anything to do with net migration.

It is cars.

In the UK the number of cars registered is going up by 17% per year and now stands at 41.2million.

I can't remember who said it on here, but one reason causing danger on a bike isn't the same as causing danger in a car is that the bike rider has already taken steps to mitigate any harm by using a 10-kg vehicle instead of a 2000-kg vehicle
