Incredible performance by José De León in his first MLB appearance since 2023. This was the longest outing of his MLB career and only the second time he’s thrown 6 innings or more. Remarkably, the other time was his MLB debut for the Dodgers, all the way back in September 2016.
September 28, 2025 at 9:22 PM
Red Sox starter Lucas Giolito’s stuff was down across the board that inning. Every pitch was down at least 2 mph compared to his season average. Something to monitor as this outing goes on.
September 23, 2025 at 11:22 PM
Really impressive outing from Red Sox LHP Kyle Harrison: 6 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 5 K. 86p/60s. Ability to locate fastball was the key. FB zone% & whiff% were both higher than during his time in Worcester. That efficiency allowed him to work 6 innings for the first time since 7/22.

Here’s video of every pitch from Red Sox RHP Luis Perales’s electric debut tonight for Worcester: 1 IP, 3 K. 11 pitches/10 strikes.
September 18, 2025 at 2:26 AM
Red Sox RHP Luis Perales struck out the side in his Triple-A debut, on 11 pitches, without throwing a single fastball. He got 2 strikeouts on sliders & 1 on a changeup. Overall, he threw 5 cutters, 3 sliders & 2 changeups. CT 90-92, SL 86-88 & CH 83-84. 5 whiffs: 3 CT, 1 CH, 1 SL
September 17, 2025 at 11:52 PM
Red Sox OF Jhostynxon Garcia was removed from the game after the bottom of the 4th here in Worcester. He beat out an infield 1B & then went first to third, but didn’t come out in the top of the 5th. Didn’t notice anything when he was running the bases, but something to monitor.
September 17, 2025 at 11:25 PM
Red Sox RHP Luis Perales worked around a walk in his 1st inning back with Portland since TJ surgery. He threw 16 pitches total, 8 for strikes. Fastball was 97-100 on the stadium gun & cutter was 91-93. Also showed slider & splitter.

LHH: F7 on 3-2 FB
RHH: BB on 3-1 CT
RHH: 6-4-3 on 1-2 SL

@IanCundall.bsky.social is joined by @GeoffPontesBA.bsky.social to breakdown everything Payton Tolle.

They discuss:

- Tolle's Major League debut
- Where he ranks on the list of top left-handed pitching prospects in baseball
- What his future looks like in Boston
September 2, 2025 at 10:30 AM
Payton Tolle hasn’t thrown more than 72 pitches since June 28th, so it’s understandable to see him tire in the 6th. Still a very impressive major league debut: 5.1 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 8 K. 84p/51s. 14 whiffs: 9 fastball, 2 cutter, 2 changeup, 1 slider.
August 30, 2025 at 12:43 AM
The development of Payton Tolle’s cutter this year has been remarkable. When I saw him in spring he didn’t even throw it & in Greenville it blended w/his slider. Fast forward a few months & he has the confidence in it to use it twice to start an AB w/2 runners in scoring position

Dominant outing from Red Sox LHP Payton Tolle tonight: 5 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 9 K. 63p/45s. FB 95-98, CT 88-91, CH 88-90, SL 84-87, CB 83-84. 12 whiffs: 5 FB, 3 CT, 2 SL, 2 CH. Best I’ve seen his secondaries look this year. Had everything working. Showed why he’s in contention for an MLB call up.
August 23, 2025 at 12:32 AM
Payton Tolle strikes out the side in the 3rd, after striking out the last 2 batters in the 2nd. He’s has 6 Ks total w/the only hit an infield 2B. FB up to 98.6 & showing best cutter I’ve seen from this year. Also missed bats w/his SL & CH. Here’s an 87 mph SL to end the 3rd.
August 22, 2025 at 11:33 PM
New Red Sox OF Jhostynxon Garcia has a power over hit profile w/considerable impact ability. Definite contact questions, mostly vs. RHP, but he crushes LHP (.964 OPS in ‘25/1.186 in ‘24). W/Refsnyder on the IL he could fill that role. Full scouting report: soxprospects.com/players/garc...
