We have a saying between us that “it’s too cold for snow” but I have no idea where we got it from. Got to be one of our sets of parents.

I get Ian shortened to ‘E’. At 58, it’s still fingers down a blackboard. And while I’m on it, I’m not ‘bud/buddy. You mistake me for an elf.

How about the top ten of best opening tracks? Got to chose from the likes of Either Way, At least that’s What you Said, I am my mother, Art of Almost and I am trying to break your heart. They know how to start an LP.

Great list. Have come to love Wilco over the last few years. Cruel Country helped me through recovery after hospital and I then went through all their LPs. That would be top for me now followed by Sky Blue Sky and YHF.

Remember Richard Skinner playing the 9 minute 12” version. Mesmerising. Such a wonderful record.

We did a slide deck of dad for his wake in December. He was 96 and it was incredible to revisit photos of him in the Army in 1947. He was young, handsome and enjoying life. It was a sad time for us but I’m happy that I did the task of going through the photos.
