Uncharacteristcally long 🧵 (sorry) re: #Qualitative methodologies, science, and 'AI'.

As Qualitative researchers, we should definitely care and remain curious about what 'good work' can look like - but we should be very wary about assuming that a focus on 'rigour' will address this question. 1/13

If 20% of employees in a large business needed adjustments that were different from and additional to those provided for everyone, wouldn’t it make sense to look at the overall working environment? Wouldn’t that be a more logical and cost-effective approach?

The student voice in this is far more enlightening than the headline or the figures. An important Q is how do we give students skills and confidence in developing their own voice in assessments, rather than striving for an almost unattainable perfect "academic" style?
