Online beats bricks and mortar every time. Not having to pay rent on stores and wages on shelf stackers means the margins are better for Shein.

Aren't these the same people that screamed "Highest taxed in the world" when the SNP put a penny on income tax for the highest earners?

However with a bit of hunting between the reports for the IFG and ScotGov it would appear the relevant left-right indexes (which is what started this) would appear to be:
Scotland 50-23
UK as whole 32-59
Which would indeed mean Scotland lies significantly to the left of the Rest of the UK.

So there isn't explicitly laid out differences and indeed the underlying data doesn't seem to be available. I did find the technical details pdf which was an interesting read. It gives a +/- of about 5.5 points which indicates exactly how much attention we should pay.

BSAS doesn't tend to split out Scotland Vs other home nations IIRC, and tend to have questionable survey techniques (again IIRC) such as relying on phone surveys which skew older demographically.
Large polling companies put Scotland generally much further on the left on pretty much every topic.
