Magazines? The week junior and Ask are popular here for all 3 of mine (aged from 9-14). Oldest also reads the Nw Yorker and we got an onion subscription for Xmas this year.

I tried mango through my library. It was very word/grammar focused and I don't remember a lot of gamification. I didn't stick with it - more about me than the app - but I don't remember AI components.

We did with a surplus of lemons from the discount shelf. They went into a 2T Soupercubes tray and now I have little lemon squares for adding to recipes and drinks.

If I'd planned better I would've made this cake, too. So good. smittenkitchen.com/2024/10/glaz...
glazed apple cider doughnut cake
This magical dairy- and egg-free cake tastes like a glazed apple cider doughnut and will make your kitchen smell like fall blew up (gently, aromatically) in it.

A developmental pediatrician gave me the same advice! She just said a roll of clear tape can be super exciting and keep a kid occupied for a while. Masking tape or wash would be great for the designs idea, too.

What have you read recently that you can't stop thinking about? Need some recommendations for the rest of the year.

A friend was taking a group on a birdwatching trip and multiple people in the group requested vegetarians meals bc of this allergy! Seems more common than we know.

I don't have a specific rec, but if you are US-based, you may have an Assistive Technology program/resource center near you that would have devices you could try and many are 3D print possible. Some state links here: at3center.net/state-at-pro...
