There will be times when someone on the team just doesn’t fit. For whatever reason, their ideas, attitudes, or expectations simply don’t harmonize with the group. That doesn’t mean they’re wrong or the team is wrong. It just means that the chemistry isn’t working.

Once you see the situation is moving away from you and what you believe in, it’s best to let it go and move on. The alternative is to stay and fight a lonely fight or worse, to reset your expectations and accept where things are headed. But are either of those something you really want to do?

I couldn't agree more with @allenpike.com's recent talk about Post-Chat AI interfaces. I stumbled across this talk over the week and keep going back to it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRqB...

When you learn that the VS Code theme you’ve used for years was recently pulled because of malware added by the author you start questioning your decisions. Hello @zed.dev! I couldn’t be happier with the switch.

😍 PSA: ident() is an upcoming CSS feature I’m incredibly excited about and you're about to be too.

It will allow you to compose CSS variables from other variables, making code like this possible. 😍

Watching the latest episode of The Irrational and noticed the real Dan Ariely sitting in the classroom of the first scene. Is this the first time they snuck him in the show?

The most valuable skill is not boosting motivation.

The real superpower is designing for simplicity -- making things easy to do.

Except for a few categories (like games), the best solutions win by making things easy to do.

eBay has completely leveled up the design system marketing and documentation game with their new Playbook site. I can't say I've seen a design system promo video so beautiful show the use of tokens and components like this.

As a product designer I’m always trying to make complex things more comfortable. While I have no intent on trying to be a personal finance guru I’m starting to publish some of the processes that have helped me and other take care of their money.

I often hear, “it’s for MVP, we just need this piece” without considering the big picture. I’m always reminded by what Marty Neumeier says in “Metaskills”, “you can put your hat on first or your boots on first but before that you have to decide you’re a cowboy.” Map the full experience, then start.

I have to say there is something calming about Bluesky. Not in the service so much as the noise. The signal to noise ratio feels more manageable so much that you see @neilhimself.neilgaiman.com reply to fans. There’s a deep sense of community in that… a sense of relief. Of course it’s temporary.
