Under an overcast sky by looming cliffs, a mother and her twin sons linger by the sea, the waves washing over their bare feet. The twins have their mother's warm umber skin, but have their father's moon white hair. They wear a simple shirt, cut from the same fabric their mother's long skirt is made of, and shorts that reach their knees. One is shielding himself from the harsh winds, while the other is unbothered, looking back at his brother. The mother doesn't linger too far - night dark hair and a deep purple shawl over her pale blue blouse. But her gaze is elsewhere, unseen, out at sea. The scene is a memory, one of the boys know too well, and don't. The boy who shields himself from the gusts of wind is grown up now - at least three and a half decades of weariness on his rugged, scarred face. He looks beyond what we can see, but he's still on that day, at the sea. His thoughts recall: "The sea cradled our knobby knees, and embraced us the deeper we went. You were the sun's funeral pure, crackling as soon as you touched the water..." "... but you're already too far for us to feel your warmth." He is looking at fragment of his brother, from his mind, disappearing as quickly as it comes to. Easily, replaced by another memory that disturbs the peace of the waters of his thoughts. Red blooms. And his thoughts echo: "His hand sealed mine like an anchor's hold, but he will follow you soon. Under the shadows of a roaring sky, quickly felled with no one to listen. My lungs are still full of ash from your burning air, but now he's drowning me." A red star shines in the darkness, splitting into shards like his brother. A shadow of halved skulls looms over them, as the man embraces his breaking brother. His thoughts call: "At least he will be embraced by you... right?" He holds him. It breaks him more. "Mother, tell me you're there, at the end of all things."

A collar-up, grayscale portrait of my original character named Hilladar. Despite its grayscale, his eyes were colored a deep red - the same shade of the background and the blood on the top of his head and dripping over his face like war paint. White dots the eyes like piercing pupils. He has a fur-lined cloak and armor, and two earrings on each ear. A scar cuts across his right cheek, disappearing below his beard. Some of his white hair is loosened from its slicked back style. Made in 2025. Another collar-up portrait of my character Hilladar, this time with color, and wearing only a blue, collared shirt. He is facing to his left, looking beyond the portrait with the same stern expression, and blood drips from his right forehead - soaking the loosened white hair and even getting into the white of his right eye. The blood stops over his beard. The background is a pastel blue and dull, dark blue gradient, thickly framed by a light gray. Made in 2023.
