My right arm has been somewhat functional for art again but still not great so I've been focusing on less ambitious projects!

My current priorities are my webcomic, Hex & Seal,
my comic-script-turned-novel, #ProjectVardan
and a small game I'll talk more about next year. :3c
The cover for my webcomic, Hex & Seal. It features the main character, hex, doing some sparkly magic with his hand while four other characters stand behind him looking content. At the front we have a mossy slab of stone with yellow magic swirlies and in the distance an aerial view of the farm where Hex lives with his uncle. A digital illustration and character headshots for my future novel. An elven man named Vardan sits on a tree stump near a forest river with his two trained foxes. He's fishing and his fishing rod is propped up next to him. A curious blond stranger approaches from the path behind him. The headshots depict the three central characters; Eric the storyteller, Vardan the fox farmer and Geoffroi the reeve. Eric is a blond man with fluffy animal ears and dressed like a bard, Vardan is indeed an elf with brown skin, purple hair, a beard and dressed modestly, and Geoff is an elderly black nobleman with floppy spaniel ears. A project info card for Project Sheridan. It's gonna be an edutainment puzzle game similar to the old JumpStart games of the 90s and early 2000s, so point-and-click action with minigames! But it will also have a twist I'll share sometime in the future. Winky face. The cart features a doodle of Dr. Sheridan, a very tall guy with long, dark red hair and a lab coat, sitting on the floor surrounded by a horde of friendly living animal plushies.

There's so much more to come, and we're so proud of the entire book, but if I had to pick a 'for your consideration' set of 4 pages to convince you to read Weetrill, it'd be pages 29-32 🌲💛🫖
Page 29 - 1 - The leaf-walled elevator rises and comes to a halt with a squeeky ‘skreeeek’ onomatopoeia. Weetrill is now in a bright, cheery room walled by the leaves of the forest canopy. 2 - Weetrill looks down in surprise as The elevator gate opens all on its own with a ‘kink’ onomatopoeia. 3 - Weetrill is holding the locket tightly to his chest and looks around uncertainly Weetrill: …Magpie? 4- A massive reveal shot of Magpie’s home in the top boughs of her tree. The room is wreathed in leaves and branches on all sides, with sunlight beams dappling in. Weetrill strides away from the elevator. There is a massive pile of trinkets and treasures to his left, most of them shiny. There is a pink floral human-proportioned teacup to his right, sitting on its side so that small creatures can sit on its lip like a hooded seat. In front of Weetrill is a massive, vacant bird’s nest, with a small ladder leading up to its lip. In the background there is a human-proportioned book at least 4 times Weetrill’s size, flipped open with some magical text on its pages, held open with a magenta bookmark. To the side, there is a tunnel through the branches leading to an unseen room. Magpie’s voice calls out from that direction, out of sight. Magpie Witchbird: Takest thou thy seat, Weekin. I shall join thee anon. Page 30 - 1 - Tea is poured into a ‘mug’ which is actually a spiral seashell. A large white feathered bird wing holds the shell mug in place 2 - A small tray of nuts. berries, seeds, and apple slices. A black bird beak delicately places another nut on the tray 3 - Closeup of a large red birds eye. The plumage around the eye is black 4- Weetrill sits in a sideways teacup on top of a plump purple cushion. He is holding the locket in both hands and shouting to Magpie in the other room. He looks perturbed. Weetrill: Well I don’t see why you had to make such a fuss. Page 31 - 1 - Weetrill sits in his teacup-chair in the middle of magpie’s audience chamber, muttering half to himself. in the foreground, a large, horned avian shadow watches from the next room. Weetrill:Now everyone’s cross with me for skipping the line. 2 - a closeup on weetrill’s locket, his face reflected on its surface. Weetrill: It’s bad enough losing half a day’s forage, without having eleventy-nine squirrels chittering behind my back about it! 3 - Weetrill continues his rant, eyes closed in a huff. Weetrill: All because YOU had to make a spectacle of— 4- Weetrill is suddenly cut off by the arrival of a steaming shell-mug of tea, which pushes in from out of frame. Page 32 - 1 - Magpie Witchbird casts a dark shadow as she towers over the teacup seat with the tiny seashell mug pinched between her talons. She has twin branchlike antlers with a crystal hanging from the left antler. Her eyes are bright red. She wears a jeweled human ring as a circlet around her head. She has a massive gemstone on a chain around her neck. 2 - Weetrill’s sass evaporates as he peers up a the bird five times his size. He accepts the tea in both hands and stammers Weetrill: Well - I - yes. Thank you. H-hello, Magpie.

A summary of my art for 2025. It's all comic pages from Hex & Seal! The first one is a bit wonky as it was drawn left-handed, February is missing because my back was done for and then relearning to draw light-handed and stuff gets gradually more ambitious. From somewhat rough lines to more detailed lines, to slightly shaded backgrounds to full dramatic shading on everything. I mostly picked panels that either had a cute expression, a background I still like or something else I found interesting to draw. For January, we have Jake the mailman looking back at the main character with a cute yet mildly cute expression. For March we have Uncle Clem looking confused with a fairly detailed forest and chicken coop background: For April we have the main character, Hex, petting some cute, white chickens. For May, we have a toy stall clerk, Joel, smiling awkwardly as he explains where his boss gets the merchandise, that being the internet. For June we have Joel showing his badly frostbitten and necrosed hand. For July we have Hex doing lame chair parkour to avoid glass shards. For August we have Hex entering a basement in secret. For September we have Hex looking at his dog barking at a hare at the end of his uncle's strawberry field on an early morning. For October we have Hex walking his dog on a late summer night, as the sun is setting but likely won't fully set at all. For November we have Jake showing his phone screen with a silly photo of a purple Field Spaniel staring at the viewer with big eyes as its nose looks massive due to being so close to the camera. For December we have Jake looking up in thought as a hare watches him and Hex from the woods.
