It’s a year since I acquired Lawrence’s spare copy of the soundtrack LP of Anthony Newley’s disastrous 1969 film musical Can Heironymus Merkin Ever Forget Mercy Humppe and Find True Happiness? Lawrence annotated it with a Post-it note. He is entirely correct. cc @eggsbened.bsky.social
