Oh sh*t, James over on Twitter is correct. Trump arrived at the foreign tariff numbers by taking the trade deficit and dividing it by the total imports.
For Afghanistan in 2024 the deficit was $11.1M on $22.6M in trade. 11.1/22.6 = 49.11%. This is insane.
