When I told my sister I wasn't cis she was surprised and asked if I'd always felt this way. Yes and no. Like the rest of us I'd lacked the understanding to realise what I was feeling I just knew I wasn't the same.

This. Absolutely. I'm not transitioning, and I'm kinda gender-gluid. I recently slept with nothing on because I couldn't bring myself to put on my male pjs but they're all I have. For three nights in a row. I didn't have to deal with this before.
