Who else was just at The Roots' free concert in Queens? I've been waiting since 2004 to see them live again. It was well worth the wait. And let's hope it doesn't take me another 20 years to see my favourite band live again.

I just watched Moulin Rouge! The Musical (based on the musical). There is so much I could say about the experience. It was a roller coaster of discovery.

Got a chance to see Lin Manuel Miranda and Leslie Odom Jr. tonight. Also got to discover the amazing United Palace in Washington Heights. Not a bad way to end a Monday.

This show is so impressively perfect. Immediately after watching this week's episode I had to buy a physical disc of the first season. And when it's ready the second season will be mine. This is now officially in my pantheon / annual watch list along with Peaky Blinders and The Expanse.

This performance is so good. I remember when I first came across it. I bought this little album at Amoeba Music on a trip to LA. A few years later I realized it was an ACL performance I could actually watch.
It was like discovering it all over again. Utter joy.

Not only was it the movie I ended 2024 with... Not only did I see it at a season appropriate time... But I finally watched It's A Wonderful Life for the first time (gasp!).
