Deeply flawed but still enjoyable.

Last one for tonight is the Berlin apartment, a tiny bit loose feeling on controller but adore what the team is going for and this walk through history via renovating an apartment on the east/west line of Berlin through its many storied tenants is such a cool concept

Constance. Another conflicting experiance because I adore this art style and the visual design but the game feel is off, there's a lack of speed and precision in how the game "feels" this is especially obvious coming off of silksong. There's also an optional challenge room that really 1/2

Subversive memories next up on the docket! The ambiance was cool and setting the game in the height of some political unrest in brazil is a neat start for something that wears its love for classics like resident evil on its sleeve. Retro early ps1 vibes and you can see the early puzzle threads.

Father was a quick jaunt that left with enough questions I do want to see where the story goes and does have the game feel smoothness I felt was lacking in Sleep awake, though I do hope there is an option i the final game to reduce the pixel blur effect that it uses from a distance.

Sleep awake left me feeling super conflicted, I absolutely fuck with the premise and vibes in the demo but it lacks a level of polish and smoothness that I personally need out of the "walking sim" narrative genre to make it click. I'm gonna keep an eye on it but I think i'm out for now.

Knocked out Reanimal in coop with my gf and it's just the right amount of being spooky and atmospheric to not be too spooky for her even with the gross meat suit people trying to kill us def a must watch for little nightmares/inside fans.

Side effects is a cool take in competitive dying genre that cropped up with shotgun roulette and I think the flesh muppet aesthetic it has going rounds out how disgusting but engaging these kinds of games have become.

Finally over the finish line, tossed the controller to my gf for 2 bosses that I had been chipping away at for over an hour each and she had fought each for 4-5 hrs.

I genuinely love the narrative and environments characters, but to me silksong goes too far in the difficulty curve in ways that

I somehow missed literally the only thing to actually get act 3 so have now beaten GMS 3 times 🤣. I'm gonna save my +1 mini review for "finishing" the rest but I'm technically two endings deep rn

Packing the industry worst headrest on a $3000 chair is insane. I had the black Xbox chair for 2 hours before I packed it back up for shoddy build quality and the actual worst headrest I've ever had on a chair. Yes it is worse than *not* having a headrest.

Other than Global agenda with a friend this is actually fire. My first few games on steam were physical, I still have my orange box on a shelf.
