Mio has taken a weird and stark down turn for me. I was so curious to see what they would do but two back to back bosses that both remove your ability to move how you want and have obnoxiously large health pools has me legit considering dropping it.

Playing Mio and I'm really enjoying it so far for the most part but I'm kinda stuck on three different bosses that are all pretty simple surface level but I'm having a hard time executing long enough with really small damage windows and how long the fights are currently going.

I did my first mtg prerelease event today with my gf and I had a lot of fun. Wound up building *mostly* mono white but very rarely got the pieces I needed to do much with and only wound up winning 1 game of like 8 played 😂

Am I interested in what hytale has to offer? Absolutely. Am I interested in touching a game that's been in dev "hell" for 7 years and is launching in early access? Absolutely not, call me when you hit 1.0.

+1 game beaten in 2025: Carimara. I LOVED the general vibes and art style really gave me dark Jim Henson dark crystal/labyrinth vibes and that is very much my shit. The little narrative you tuf at the threads on make me want to devour another 3-4 hours of this world.

+1 game beaten in 2025: loan shark. I did two endings had a decent spooky time with Loan Shark I appreciated the attempt at telling a story the way it does keeping you on the hook for trying to pull yourself lf out of the debts however you can.

I'm giving up on Stellar blade this game teeters a line on souls like and character action game in a way that to me does neither well. The open ish wasteland section is filled with reused bosses already but way tankier because??? Reasons I guess?

Forgot to post in my normal format but +1 game beaten in 2025: Metroid prime 4.
Score wise I'm floating mid 7's. There are elements I enjoyed but prime 4 feels reductive and overly safe. Bosses for me weren't creative and didn't really reward exploring the world or push you to think creatively mid

Metroid Prime 4 ends in maybe one of the worst all time metroid bosses, but an awful awful slog of a fight with kinda bs mechanics that only *sometimes* get explained.

Anyone hear of a ticketmaster data breach in the last few weeks? Gf had a breach into her ticketmaster account that bought steelers tickets in Nov for a game two weeks from now?

Living with stability, try and buy a house, figure out if kid/s are remotely doable financially, get married sooner rather than later, take time to travel where I want not "where I can afford"(which is nowhere btw), try and get back into streaming/video creation.
Honest question: If everyone got Universal Basic Income, no strings attached, what would YOU do with it?

Took 44 runs but I finally beat hades in hades but I'm not sure if I'm confident in calling that "beating" hades itself?
November 21, 2025 at 2:27 AM
I beat asterius and what's his face for the first time in hades, managed to get to hades himself And down to 20% but I totally lost my cool after he had like 6 of his stupid bombs out at once and kept dashing into the same ring that Just hit me for my only revive I had left going in 😭😭😭

+1 game beaten in 2025:cod Black ops 7.

It's bad. Like I'm shocked. For me I think it is easily the worst COD campaign maybe ever? Ghosts was divisive but blops7 has horrendous pacing,-

+1 game beaten in 2025: Bounty star. I both liked and was disappointed in pretty equal measure. I enjoyed Clems journey clawing your way out of an earned depressive hole but there are a number of things in the game mechanically that seemingly do not work at all, are not explained or underperform

+1 game beaten in 2025: Ghost of yotei. in the end I'm left feeling a bit conflicted, I loved the cast and characters, exploring the world but the combat especially later into the game just feels really bad. the general motion of the game also doesn't feel great-

+1 game beaten in 2025: Pokemon Legends ZA.

Overall I was def soured, the pacing is glacial and nothing really important to the narrative actually happens until the final 5 hours of the story? I still feel like the combat is regression in tactical play.

At this point if I was reviewing ZA I'd be hovering around a 5-6.

I think there's some cool stuff primarily the night time battle zones are something the games have needed for a long time.

Pacing in particular is a huge pain point for me with the rotation of mega outbreak go rank up repeat.

Gonna make a thread here to go over thoughts on next fest games I'm plugging away at before they go *poof*:

+1 game beaten in 2025: Battlefield 6. It was fine? Like it's mechanically competent because battlefield is mechanically competent but the story, level structure are in general kinda bland to bad? Also it's weird to get a *aaa* shooter in 2025 where the character models aren't very good.

+1 game beaten in 2025: Hollow Knight Silksong. Incredible visual and audio design fantastic world building wrapped in a package that felt like the team was so deep in the trenches they couldn't see that people touching the world for the first time werent also missing half their teeth and a finger.

Finally over the finish line, tossed the controller to my gf for 2 bosses that I had been chipping away at for over an hour each and she had fought each for 4-5 hrs.

I genuinely love the narrative and environments characters, but to me silksong goes too far in the difficulty curve in ways that
