Oncology researcher, immuno-oncology drug development, clinical operations, I run the trials, avid reader, cozy gamer, excellent at trivia, my own iteration of star-stuff, very gay, etc.

Visibility matters. This envelope full of treasures was just left at my front door. I don’t know who left it, but knowing that they could and wanted to, makes me feel so many things. Happy Pride, all. #pride #lgbtq #lgbtqia

besides the flavor and texture, Fallot mustards are unparalleled in emulsion-formation. I have no idea what magic it contains, but I have found that I need to be conservative with how much I use, or the dressing will end up like a gel

1. At this point, I think it needs to be said that there’s a great big feeling among liberals and Democrats, and I would suggest especially *affluent white* liberals and Democrats, that liberal democracy isn’t really dead.

I may be taking the advice to hydrate a bit too far.

But we should all make sure we rest and hydrate as much as possible. We need our strength and must care for our bodies as best we can. Being tired and thirsty makes me less able to focus on refuting the fuckery of the oligarchic fascists.

This is a cursed image. A portent of what is to come, or we’re too far in and the portents are now just recollections.

I have spent countless hours on Wikipedia. Just traveling down the rabbit hole of facts and information. It has saved my sanity in SO MANY boring meetings. I just set up a recurring donation. To me, Wikipedia defines what the internet is supposed to be. #wikipedia #donate

Great story of oncology progress over the decades.

Look at the curves. Success came via a couple of breakthroughs, yes, but also via smaller improvements that together make a steady progress. You often hear studies dismissed as “incremental,” but keep chipping away, every incremental step counts.
I never tire of seeing these progressively improved pediatric ALL survival curves, which represent one of the most remarkable achievements in all of medicine.

Amazing to see even more improvement with bispecific antibody #immunotherapy presented in the #ASH24 Plenary session. #hematology #leukemia

I’ve been reading like crazy. Recently, I’ve read Set the Record Straight by Hannah Bonham-Young, The Christmas Swap by Talia Samuels, and just finished This Christmas by Georgia Beers. All delightfully fluffy and Christmasy. #lesfic #sapphic

Can’t say that I’m surprised seeing this coming from my alma mater. The scandal during my time there was that they paid a BIPOC member of the facilities staff to dress as a student and appear in promotional materials for the school.

Bought myself some fancy chocolates as a holiday treat. The last time I bought these chocolates, the small people found them and ate them all. So, this time I hid them from the small people… and, apparently, myself. I have no idea where they are, but I will find them, hopefully, before Christmas.

This ornament was given to me and my wife for our first Christmas together. It’s just such a weird subject to make an ornament out of. I love it. #ornament #christmas #mushrooms

Today’s ornament is Captain William Riker, aka Number One. Like this ornament, his phaser is set to “stunning”.

Third festive sapphic holiday book done. “It’s a Fabulous Life” by Kelly Farmer. An updated take on the Christmas classic “It’s a Wonderful Life”. I really enjoyed it and had fun connecting the new characters to the original characters in the film. @kellyfarmerauthor.bsky.social #lesfic
