Related to this: it's highly concerning how, right now, people openly express that they expect you to work overtime by default, including weekends. I have both read it explicitly on job ads and also being told by CEO/CTO/co-founders during interviews. In Europe! 😓 Turbocapitalism is rampant! 🫠
If your most effective management skill is insisting people work 80 hours a week, you might want to consider learning some new management skills.

Hacer XP no es sólo saber hacer TDD, CI/CD, refactoring, pair programming… Si no sabes comunicar, no buscas mantener la simplicidad, no das feedback ni te gusta recibirlo y no tratas con respeto a la gente, lo anterior sirve de bien poco. Sin los valores, las prácticas son sólo prácticas, no es XP.

It's so frustrating to see how most companies still don't publish the salary range for their job positions... What a lack of respect for people and what a waste of time.
And, consciously or not, what a way to exploit the power dynamics on people with low self-confidence or self-esteem.
