She asked one question: "Are you ICE?"

With no warning, agents took her to the ground. They shackled her for hours. They cut off parts of her clothes — and even her wedding ring.

Now, @aclumn.bsky.social is fighting back for protesters, observers and journalists exercising their 1A rights.

David McBride told the truth. Now he’s in jail.

Whistleblowers protect democracy and the public’s right to know. Punishing them silences truth.

Attorney-General Michelle Rowland can act now.

The fact that TikTok remains available “makes a mockery” of the government’s earlier national security claims that the platform was “an urgent national security risk – and of the court that deferred to those claims,” @evelyndouek.bsky.social and @jameeljaffer.bsky.social write in @theguardian.com.

What has Yvette Cooper’s proscription of Palestine Action done to this country?

Beyond absurd. It’s extreme authoritarianism. These police should be arresting rapists & crooks, not neglecting those duties to spend time arresting citizens standing against genocide.

It undermines police and the law.

I am sickened by the relentless demonisation of refugees.

No refugee underfunded a school.

No refugee closed a hospital.

No refugee took away support from the sick and disabled.

We need solutions not scapegoats. Stop blaming refugees and tax the rich instead!

Reform UK voted against worker rights in parliament, favoured bad bosses.

Now it supports fracking which can cause earthquakes and negative environmental impacts.

Companies will make vast profits, people will pick up the tab. Many homes would be uninsurable. Who would buy affected houses?

Ukraine has become a new, major market for British arms exports.

In the 10 years up to Russia’s invasion in 2022, UK firms sold only around £35m of military equipment.

In the three years after the invasion, 2022-24, exports skyrocketed to £1.1bn.

Thatcher onwards, money squandered on tax cuts for corporations/rich. Now ... crisis.

Norway heavily taxed oil/gas. Now, $1.9trn sovereign fund. Its income funds national budget.
