After the exhilarating experience of performing ‘Nova nova’ with Birmingham Bach Choir last Christmas, this year’s @iainfarrington.bsky.social piece is far more laid back, though in its on way, equally effective.
The second piece on Paul Carr’s programme next Thurs 5 Dec is Iain Farrington’s Prelude on ‘Gabriel’s Message’ A contemplative and expressive work which builds to a passionate middle section before subsiding into a calm yet uneasy conclusion. It was originally composed for string orchestra in 2020.
