A memorable day at Bridgewater Hall playing for the The OU degree ceremonies. It’s inspiring watching graduates cross the stage, plus many interesting honorary recipients over the years. Today it was absolutely wonderful to see Anna Lapwood MBE added to this number, receiving an Honorary Doctorate.

A few highly productive hours spent at the organ of Norwich Cathedral last night preparing for today’s concert which starts in just over an hour at 1:10pm. There’s something very special about being alone (well almost) in such a large building with so much history and filling it with sound…

1/2 Composer William Harris en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William... taught my first organ teacher, the late Michael Burton, and he mentioned him often in my early organ lessons so I’ve always felt a connection.
Harris’ Organ Sonata is rarely played, but is a real gem.
Two opportunities to hear it live.

Might be helpful if you specify the town rather than "Shropshire", Paul. I assume you are referring to the St. Oswald's in Oswestry? There is also one in Hinstock, Shropshire. 😊🎹
