I'm so glad my frontal lobe fully developed these last couple of years. Younger me would never be doing half the shit I do now without the crippling fear of social judgement.

I'm going to hold a lot of game critics/gamers hands while I say this.
You really have to let Skyrim go. The amount of people I still see clutching on to that game is unhealthy.
I still love it but I don't feel the need to compare it to every modern RPG. Not every game is trying to be Skyrim.

The Avowed complaint of "the world doesn't feel alive" is a great reminder that a lot of game critics base their thoughts on what they want/expect a game to be and not what it is.
Like Avowed is an Action RPG with a branching narrative, not an immersive sim or Skyrim-like roleplaying game.
