Finding relatively small groups of people, let's say few millions tops, for whom it would be a burden to go vegan, still does not mean billions going vegan would not be possible. Climate change would be cancelled just like that. Start with us priviledged hundreds of millions for whom it is easy.

From veganism point, using fossil fuel is not causing animals to become crude oil. So demand for fuel is not driving demand for suffering. But on the other hand it's driving climate change, so I promote electric cars etc. #govegan

I do. I google. I do not think you understand how different view of the world it is to understand what kind of violence, abuse and suffering there is all around us. Being vegan is seeing that.

If you think that would upset a vegan, you do not understand what kind of world we live in. There are literal chopped body parts all around us all the time and 20000 animals killed every second. Nothing tops that. #govegan

I think you can be vegan and have additional beliefs, but those are not requrements for other vegans. We want everyone to be vegan, including those that really like the colour purple and want to wear it. If from vegan sources of course.

I'm not sure that is a reasonable requirement for vegans. We should not make arbitary rules that do not really affect animal or human wellbeing or rights. That just excludes people from being vegan.

Animals gang rape, kill for fun, eat their offspring, steal.. not a good source for inspiration. No, humans did not evolve to eat meat. Able to, in an emergency, but as it is unhealthy, should not.

I stopped eating animals at age 12 when my brother told me "meat" was a dead animal. At age 21, I was handed a magazine from The American Vegan Society. I read it, specifically about the horror/cruelty of the dairy industry, & became vegan at once, every minute of every day, for all of my days.

Even better. That kind of disruption in global trade makes animal agriculture in soy feed importing countries less profitable and raises meat and dairy prices, which helps vegan causes.

Beyond has 0.31 g of sodium per patty. No cholesterol and far less saturated fat than in meat. Oh and it is a treat now and then, not 3 meals a day. We often have a Saturday feast with it.

Even if you wanted to avoid harming plants, it's best to not eat meat and dairy. Animal agriculture consumes 80 % of crops and converts it very inefficiently to very little (and unhealthy) food. 75 % of farmland can be reforested if animal ag was abolished.

Some go vegan with that exact thought. For me and my wife it first was health, but as we had been vegan for a while, the idea
of animals having rights too started to be important. Slowing climate change is the third major reason.

News of 2020 pandemics milk dumping is not relevant here. Every vegan counts for their part in less long term demand and less money for animal factory farming. Either you give money to it or not. No mental gymnastics can go around it. Activism to end subsidies of course needed too.
