The concluding (new) essay in my forthcoming book - out from @haymarketbooks.org in late spring - is about Fanon, anticolonial struggle, climate justice, and the search for human solidarity. I argue that the climate struggle needs Fanon - the actual, complicated, contradictory Fanon.
Frantz Fanon died on December 6, 1961, at the age of 36.

I watched Dahomey (Mati Diop's awesome documentary) and loved this scene: students in Benim discussing who benefits from the repatriation of looted artifacts, vehemently disagreeing with each other, cherishing dissent.
