Writing is in many ways like programming: it's about experimenting with different structures and arrangements, constantly breaking one's understanding of the problem.

One big difference is that bad (malformed, illogical) programs won't compile, while you can hit publish on any writing you like.

AI (as the term is most commonly used today) doesn't need to exist. We feel like it needs to exist, because our computer systems are so bad that we needed to create another computer system to explain them to us.

Let's just create better computer systems.

"Computer" is a misnomer. "Symbolic machine" is a better term for devices that can handle practically any system of information/logic, not just mathematics.
