I think this sums up why normies are willing to believe claims that some rock is aliens, but it's never aliens. Most people don't have a sense of scale for space rocks. It is *very obviously* not a spaceship and we have no ability to detect an actual space ship

once again AI gives a deranged answer that, I think, totally misunderstands how things work in commercial kitchens and incorrectly assumes that what works in a restaurant also works at home (that's a lot of bowls!!!)

I don't want to crap on this poster too much but I mean obviously they aren't saying it because it's so bleeding obvious nobody thought they'd need to spell it out

these are key points. The filibuster actually destroys rather than requires consensus, and the contortions they have to do to pass legislation to keep the lights on despite the filibuster makes policy uniformly worse with no upside

This style "fedora" with the small tilted brim took off for some reason over the past 15 years among everyone who wants to "bring hats back" and it looks terrible please stop wearing this

the drawings are vague about what was there originally but seems like it would have been a covered semi-public space with beautifully wooden doors like what's still present on either side of the entrance. Why go with ugly modern when beautiful is right there?
November 9, 2025 at 6:17 AM
It's weird that the modern glass doors they put on music hall didn't get more attention during the debates over the renovation. They really pull you out of time and honestly I'm not sure they're actually legal, if any of the other buildings did this in the historical district they'd get fines

I normally only sew with natural fibers. Due to tariffs I was unable to obtain the full silk version of this cloak lining, this is actually a "stretch silk" that's like 95% silk and 5% spandex. I'm ashamed to say it was actually really nice to work with

I'm pretty sure that's because the "network of people" is just the FBI, right? None of these people talked to ISIS, they all talked to FBI agents pretending to be ISIS, that's why approximately all foiled terrorist plots are part of one network, the FBI is the network

researching Scandinavian recipes I saw dill potatoes, and looking through some of my old kitchen notes I found an unlabeled, rather cryptic recipe for something very similar, that I don't think I ever actually made before. So I made the thing from my old kitchen note, ended up pretty popular

from the 17th through 18th century pocket flaps were considered a decorative element in menswear. Modern flapless pockets are one of those things that instantly pulls me out of time in period pieces
