You look about as impressed as that sounds like it merits (but also look good). Best of luck...

Thank you - I'll be alright, just going to be kind to myself. Got therapy tomorrow so can talk it over there

I don't think that here, I really need to say the piece about parents of trans folk often being centred (by society and/or themselves) over the actual experiences and fears of the trans folk.

"She turned up" is such minimising language.
She turned up *and was not thrown out* That's a choice

Plus y'know someone was trying to get into my moving car to steal my stuff / try to force me to remain in the confrontation.
That's a reasonable thing to be a bit thrown by.
(I'm still, broadly, OK. Just trying to teach myself to acknowledge my emotions.)

I would be more inclined to believe it if they weren't looking to bring it into the clinical approach more, especially for young people - hardly going to ban their own policy 😡

Random thing from my diagnosis appointment: they asked about my experience of puberty.
My honest answer: I *can't remember*.
That's weird, right?

See I don't *think* i have anything like this.
But then I realise I have very little childhood memory. And various feeling like an outsider, effemophobic gender enforcement, this faint feeling of wrong that I can't place.
People knew I wasn't "normal". Picked up the queer vibes.

The railway museum itself is fascinating and well worth a visit - the hall is giant and has cathedral like acoustics, giving it an almost religious, awe inspiring feel - aided by the giant locomotives! I only saw a fraction of it, I am definitely going back.

I would absolutely urge anyone interested to support the project!

The National Railway Museum is embarking on a new project to record the stories and memories of the LGBTQIA+ community in a new oral history archive. Do you know somebody who would be interested?

They started out with retired folk and further-back-in-time stories, but have expanded and want to capture a wider range of folk - and of course a lot more trans folk are a lot more visible of late making this a key era in trans history in particular.

The archivist who took the interview was absolutely lovely and made me feel very safe and welcome. I had some impostor feelings about whether I was worth hearing from, but she made clear my story was important to the project.

Very excited to contribute to this excellent project - a lot of queer and especially trans history is hidden or lost, and the railways in particular are important to LGBTQIA+ connection throughout recent history.

I gave them a maybe 2hr interview talking about my life as a trans person and my career (and experiences coming out) in the industry. It'll go into their archive of recordings, to provide future researchers a snapshot of LGBTQIA+ life in today's world!

Calling the BBC “captured by the woke lobby” is pure gaslighting.
It’s already bending over backwards to appease gender-critical outrage - such as the disgusting BBC article by Caroline Lowbridge “"We're being pressured into sex by some trans women": en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%22We%2...

What the dossier really offers is a political weapon: a way for the Telegraph, ‘gender critical’ transphobes, and the right-wing press to scream “BBC captured by the woke lobby” and crank the culture war back up.
It’s not journalism. It’s Propaganda! 😖
