Introducing the new Mystery Bracelet listing! Sometimes a product may be the wrong size or color or a sample product is created as prototypes or marketing purposes. This listing is to help these misc. bracelets find a happy home. Choose a Skin Picking, Hair Picking or a complete mystery bracelet.

My Etsy shop supports #MutualAid in the #DisabilityCommunity. The unfortunate reality today is that more people are requesting support than can help subsidize. If you are able, please contribute directly to the fund to help others access these accessibility tools.

So, I've known for a while that self inflicted oral lesions (cheek/lip biting) are more common in autistic people, but something I didn't realize is that it's technically a form of self-harm. And I think this is worth discussing in the context of higher and lower support needs...

I used to do that thing as a kid where I would intentionally put Elmer's Glue on my hand then peel it off after it'd dried.

From that experience I learned how to do freehand zombie makeup using liquid latex, so hey, life skills!

Won’t lie. Due to some professional & financial stresses lately, I’ve had a small relapse. But I’m doing my best to remind myself that my BFRB doesn’t define me.
Sharing this piece I wrote a while back both to remind myself of that & inspire anybody else going through the same. 🧠

Redirecting #SkinPicking is Harm Reduction in action
I make these Skin Picking #Fidget Bracelets as an #accessibility tool to assist #Disabled people with #Dermatillomania ( #ExcoriationDisorder). Whenever you find yourself picking at a scab, focus on the bands on this bracelet.

My shop supports #EquitableAccess for the #DisabledCommunity. Most items in my shop are priced on a #SlidingScale. If you choose to help subsidize, the additional money goes towards the cost for community members requesting support.

Current State of #MutualAid Fund is -$22

If you find yourself unconsciously pulling at your hair or at your eyebrow hair, you are not alone. This is called #Trichotillomania. Redirect #HairPulling to the frayed string at the edges of this #fidget bracelet.
❤️ Love the hair growing there ❤️

If you find yourself unconsciously picking at scabs or the peeling of your chapped lips you are not alone. This is #Dermatillomania ( #Excoriation Disorder). Redirect #skinpicking to the rubber bands woven into this friendship bracelet. ❤️ Love the skin you're in! ❤️
