We reached the end of the pole, the sun lit part of the crown is out of reach for our clipper. So we needed to deploy an alternative method to retrieve branches for the @icos-ri.eu nutrient and leaf area/mass analysis.
If someone has a drone for branch sampling, we are happy to test it next year.

A study using 26 years of data from the ICOS Ecosystem station Davos, Switzerland, paints an uncertain future ahead for the carbon sink potential of a Norway spruce forest🌲

The lengthy time series of flux data was critical for enabling this study.
