Landing page, with a backend! This is getting very close to being ready!

Wearing my inspiration a bit too strong? I'm open to design critique. What do you think?

I'd love to commission someone for some diagrams and a logo, to help finesse this page.
Screenshot of the landing page for my atmospheric annotation tool, called Seams. It's in the style of https://nan.fyi with a blueprint style, and some test annotations sorted recently. The hero line reads "Wisdom is made Together" in a sidebar, and recent annotations to the right. I think it looks rather nifty, technical diagram vibes.

Got comments going too, I used @leaflet.pub's lexicon seems to work well for general use case of threaded comments on the atmosphere, thanks friends!

We might actually launch this thing yet!

This week on hylst hacks: synthes.is (hypothes.is on atproto)

gotta figure out oauth for extensions (need a static site to serve client_metadata?)
then a bit of mechanization to move from local storage to pds (it's already using a lexicon)

then to the app view! (we'll see how far i get)

No appview or anything yet (slices when?!) so no pretty pages. But it does allow you to look at other people's bookmarks!
similar to before screenshot of boomarks, but now i am looking at tynanpurdy.com's bookmarks through the search bar. It shows both my profile picture and tynanpurdy's (next to the search bar). He has 3 links in his pds

alright woohoo, it's deployed and uses oauth!

not bad for a weekend hack :) it's basically a minimum viable bookmark manager. it saves to your pds using the lexicon.community bookmark

code is cheap these days, so i vibe forked woomarks and made it save to my pds :)

fully vibed so take that as you will
props to woomarks, single static js page you can run locally with any webserver, or host statically. saves directly to your pds instead of csv.

What's a good lexicon to use for RSS stars? Probably bookmark of some kind? Not sure we have a bookmark lexicon? Taking suggestions
it's the same arcitecture diagram from yesterday, but now re-arranged slightly, and with some new additions: including starfall and semble.so which also write data to the pds. additionally, each area is highlighted by the protocol it speaks: local fs, automerge, atproto and open web are the 4 different areas of this "map".

temptation to build an insane rube goldburg machine rising...

Driven by the idea that I should turn my pds into the canonical source of public internet things
would be kind of insane, but most the pieces already exist?

if i do this i want a 10 year warranty on this setup, which might be hard
an excalidraw screeshot of a diagram that shows how i can write things in neovim on my local machine, and have them go through a few services and end up on my pds. using pushwork to push from local to automerge, and then patchwork / groundmist to push from automerge to pds, i get a bit of a rube goldberg machine that allows me to edit things locally, and from my phone, publish to my pds and then to the wider web through a static site generator that reads from my pds (would need to build this). it shows links between various file storage and software, which projects read / write to where but it's very difficult to put into words. it seems rather complex and brittle, with lots of different formats and moving pieces and software projects, with files having to be converted along the way (though some could be mitigated by using markdown) to various formats like leaflet.pub and whtwnd.com to get broader adoption

I want things to be less easy and tied to the real world and I'm not joking.

Is this too fast to react to user input?
It's might be overwhelming, but im kind of hoping users "learn" the interface through play.

None of the actions get "executed" until you press submit, so it's not destructive.

Obviously the styles need to be calibrated, but is it compelling?

My lil LoFi taskwarrior clone is taking shape. I use it everyday now, and finally implemented all the basic actions.

Next up is saving filters, and then I can do syncing, and some polish before starting to really push that's real and exists.
