Ok so… 5 episodes in, Castlevania: Nocturne is pretty rad.

I'm reading "Sixty Poems" by Charles Simic, published in 2007. Almost 20 years old now, and this book is itself a compilation of the poet's work up to that point, going back to 1986.

So I was 25 when this book was published... and 4 when the first poems were written.

As I go deeper into the world of FOSS for design, tonight I download Scribus, which hopefully will finally replace my weird counter-intuitive use of Figma for print + layout design.

I admit, it's been fun to misuse Figma for playing with text and images on page spreads.

Picking up a typography book won't suddenly fill in 20 years of rusting design expertise... but it will certainly make you a type snob for a few hours!

(as I scan Google Fonts for "superfamilies" and try to tell the difference between Humanist serifs)
