Now they move their hands to her armpits, picking them up with ease and setting them down in front of the stove, then grabbing her wrist and moving the fortune closer to the stove. .

Silence. . .the mess of flickering lights and everything stops as asked. any burnt out bulbs aren't brought back, but no more are dimmed. . .on the plus side, at least this being didn't mess with the Goober's Heat and UV bulbs...those aren't cheap

The lights work. . .for a spell. . .after a while they'd turn off on their own, some even burning out completely!
Any glance of reflection in one of these darkened rooms, and the eyes would be in the background. . .watching. . .calculating. . .unwavering. .

She shakes her head and tries to continue with her day, fumbling around to turn on light switches before entering rooms.
Hopefully it's just a hallucination. . .or just the mind playing tricks. . .

She quickly rushed out of the bathroom, taking deep breaths as she tries to calm herself.
This would not be the only occurrence of these eyes. . .they were going to happen a LOT more, anytime she's looking into anything reflective, and there is a dark area behind her.
