Old enough to know better. Stupid enough to care about it. Daft enough to keep on doing it anyway. Creates VISION ON SOUND for FAB RADIO INTERNATIONAL, and draws a bit 😀

MAW_H from TwitWorld who presents VISION ON SOUND (a show about Archive TV) scribbles a few cartoon Ogrons, does other art (including Nosferatutu The Dancyr) & generally messes about with daft little projects in the hope people might enjoy them, but without any expectation that they actually will 😀

The concept is brilliant, the Tr*mp parallels are interesting, the “Hong Kong Harry” stuff and the party are both as dubious as hell, but the guest cast and the location work in that most overused and ruined part of London is utterly glorious…

…this morning I rewatched TNA: THE MIDAS TOUCH 😀

This is still loitering on Channel 4’s streaming platform and I think it has an interesting and spooky PLAY FOR TODAY vibe about it… 👍

We also gave (JUDGE) MARIANNE from Walter Presents a go, hoping it might scratch the ASTRID itch. Fun, with a slight LA LAW vibe. Very promising.

After it got mentioned in a recent show recording, I popped a disc of THE NEW AVENGERS into the player earlier… quite disconcerting to calculate that Patrick Macnee was seven years younger than I am now when he was appearing in this…

If in future all pronouncements by our billionaire overlords and other celebrities are going to have to be complete and unedited, there’s going to be an awful lot of tediously long (and possibly quite revealing, given the amount of rambling nonsense that they tend to spout) programmes to endure… 😱

I seem to have made the colossal tactical error of pre-ordering a thing from Not-that-amazing-zon again… 😕

Oddly enough, it’s so long since I put the order in that I was genuinely surprised when I realised that it had gone to them 😂

Not at all intimidating when Beloved decides to watch Jamie Oliver whilst I’m preparing our tea.
“Are you heroing the cabbage?” she asks.
“No,” I reply, “I’m cooking it.”

“Still, even a duck has to be taught to swim.”
“What’s a duck?” Luke asked curiously.
“Never mind.”

A sudden realisation that when the WALK OF THE WEEK finally applies for charitable status as part of a national mental health campaign to get more people outdoors, it may have to adopt Elmer Fudd as its mascot...

Caught the end of this film this evening… it prompted me to dig out this strange and now slightly anachronistic beastie… 😂

FizzBok reminds me it’s three years since I did a series of images for what was intended to be book 2 of NtD…

I did about fifteen, of which this was the fourth…

The book never happened, but this is a nice reminder of what might have been 🙂

I’ve finally and reluctantly got around to making a start on churning the clutter in this house of chaos and confusion.

I’m beginning to suspect that I may have to let go of a few books… 😱

Fearing damage from the clutter surrounding it, I finally took an executive decision today and found a use for the spare nail in the stairwell…

The Big Fella has finally made it onto the wall 😀

Ah, the enigmatic adverts for overpriced chemical pong that is likely to make me feel nauseous are back…

Always fascinating that these all assume that the actor/model/whatever they have chosen will be instantly recognisable when they often aren’t.

My suspicion of our retrogressive technology increases with another sheered bracket on a thing less than a year old, and the fading ink on mugs of similar age, yet I also still have stuff bought decades ago where the metal is solid, and the printing is as clear as the day I got it…

Since I got hobbled by Slippery Stiles on the last Walk of the Week, the rest of the walkers will be out and about without me this week, so if you happen to see them, give them a wave or a smile, stop for a chat (some of them would really hate that!), and take a few snapshots for the album.

“I was never particularly fond of goodbyes,” muttered Alan, jangling his keys as he tried, not-quite-quietly enough, to pocket the last of the custard creams. “It’s not that I’m sentimental or anything, it’s just that somebody almost always chooses that moment to demand payment.”
