What a super scurry of squirrels at Sutton Lawn park yesterday! I counted 10! They are much maligned but these little beauties were just there, nibbling and burying their acorns and I thought they were ace 🩶🧡🩶 (zoom in to count if you want!)

So many people were understandably upset at the loss of the #sycamoregap tree. Take a look around your local area, at trees that are struggling, imagine losing them….. please go out & help your neighbourhood trees, water & care for them during this difficult time, they need our help 💚 #heatwave

When getting a resin-bonded gravel drive, I worried toads/frogs might not be able to access my garden, so I put a toad ramp in. Wondered if it needed to be better positioned today but lifting it up, this little fella said it was in just the right place to rest under 😀🤎 @bbcspringwatch.bsky.social

When getting a resin-bonded gravel drive, I worried toads/frogs might not be able to access my garden, so I put a toad ramp in. Wondered if it needed to be better positioned today but lifting it up, this little fella said it was in just the right place to rest under 😀🤎 @bbcspringwatch.bsky.social
So as we rush through June, do remember the @the-wildlifetrusts.bsky.social inspiring initiative this month #30dayswild - all about trying something “wild”, outdoors, connecting you to nature every day in June. Lie back & look at the clouds, sit under a tree etc slow down, relax & enjoy nature 😊💚🪲🦋🦇

Isn’t it interesting and also annoying how so few of these brilliant green councillors getting elected got reported? Who else is sick and tired of the biased media?
#nomowmay has been a success (as always) in my garden, lovely buttercups, ragwort, Fox & Cubs plants have been enjoyed by pollinators galore & the birds have been catching them & feeding their young. Areas will be cut back but long areas will be left throughout the summer #30dayswild #wildlifegarden

#NoMowMay doesn’t mean you have to have a wildlife jungle, just leave a few areas of your lawn less tidy; don’t overly trim the hedges (if you’ve got one) whilst birds are nesting in them & relax & take time out in a nature reserve rather than a show-space for weed killer & power tools #beemorewild

I’m lucky I have an insulin pump for my Type1 diabetes. The pharmaceutical industry doesn’t care about their #carbonfootprint
I’ve had broken & upgraded pumps over the years so I’m now returning them all to #medtronic so they can #recycle /dispose of them (they think I’m returning 1!!) #medicalwaste
