Dark red thread forms a curlicue on cream linen, with some blank spaces where other colors will go for decoration. (It really does look like the top of an ampersand.) A fox-shaped needle minder is minding the needle.

For (I think) the first time since I got to stitching again a few years ago, I’ve had to put down a project before it was finished, because this one has a deadline. Another donation piece for the Northwest Associated Arts Cabaret fundraiser in February. 😄 #CrossStitch

Couldn’t do this on Actual Halloween because the photos only just came in, so I’ll borrow something else from #Elsbeth and celebrate Halloweek. 😄

15m quests yesterday: pulling clothes into the Goodwill box (including those stupid full-length gym pants I complained about before my trip!) and more front-yard work, and a pic from today: cutting back the blackberry brambles that grow through the fence (at that neighbor’s request). #gardening
The wooden fence between my backyard and the neighbor’s, with some tall (but not pointy) plants growing on the left, a couple of intentional bushes in the middle, and the edge of the blackberry jungle toward the right side. A pair of long pruners sits on a patio box at the bottom of the picture. I didn’t think to take a before pic, but I assure you this fence was mostly obscured at the time.

Happy Father’s Day! My dad has been a steady blood donor for my whole life, and I got my A+ type and my nice cooperative veins from him. Local bank is low on O- (pretty much always), A-, B-, and O+. Every pint is valuable; consider helping out if you can! 💖
My left arm on the chair rest at Bloodworks Northwest. A piece of white gauze covers the inside of my elbow, and underneath it some plastic tubing taped to my arm is filled with dark red. In my hand is a squeezey ball inside a bright blue medical glove.
