Everything's a signal, man.... Everything's a signal
It's merlot red, settled it.

Hex #87150A is the best descriptor of that sea.

This comes up tagged as deep puce background.... That's the same colour as the sea right?

OH GODDAMNIT!

It's wine-dark... why didn't I say it is the wine-dark sea....

Allegedly this is puce?

I've never seen a flea this colour

Oh I miss San Diego.

The sunsets in autumn there are just unrivalled for drama and colour.

What ideas are you having there ETH?

aww bril!!

I remember seeing a seal on Deal Pier (below) ages back, are these Kent coast pics as well?

Love how sea water catches the light in photos. Such a nice light-dark contrasts. The Fae hole pic one especially!

This is my favourite "bird on thing" photo of mine.

Not at all a spooky thing to find...

I sent this to my girlfriend before I saw this news a few days ago. This is my container of meaningful trinkets and letters over the years.

Like most jewelry and treasured items, the financial value is bugger all but emotionally it is hugely important.

I saw this at the imperial war museum 15+ years ago and it has still stuck with me. People who are struggling to live still want to hold on to aspects of their humanity. Refugees arriving with jewelry do not do so for financial reasons, they've had to hold on to that through trafficking, crime...

100kg at a chocolate festival, consumed by 10,000 people?!

That's an awful showing! That's half a twix finger per person.

Who goes to a chocolate festival preparing to eat so little chocolate!?

Love, love, love this weather.

The drama. Oh the drama. I probably need a license for this much atmosphere

How apt.

Those multi-colour pens were bulky, uncomfortable to use, never had good quality ink, and didn't actually help you use a pen better but only give the image of flexibility.

A quick search of some advertising.

Not a bad sunset....

I'm very glad it's no longer en vogue to write with so many subordinate clauses.

And that's "The City and The City" finished.

This was great fun to read. I'm not really a murder mystery person and while this technically is a murder mystery, it doesn't have that vibe. Instead it's very... Liminal and metaphysical... Sorta.

It's good. Highly recommend

Well this is next year's Halloween decorations sorted.
