I heard a pop and then my room started to smell really bad. Like, that burnt electronics smell. Finally found the source...
A micro USB cable. The black plastic around the connector is bubbled up A micro USB charger cable with an led indicator light. The light pipe for the led is completely blown out.

Installed Valetudo (valetudo.cloud) on my Roborock S5(0) and I love it so much already. The integration with HomeAssistant is so much easier. :D Granted I can no longer use the original app for it, but I really don't care. This is much more responsive anyway!
