La reconstruction de Notre Dame est intéressante: qu'est-ce qui est considéré comme l'âme de la cathédrale? Parce que ça bande sur le génie du Moyen âge ça décide pas pour autant de refaire les peintures. C'est un indice d'une gestion du patrimoine qui décide ce qui est "traditionnel"

I used to want to become a uni teacher but hopefully becoming an archivist one day makes me so much more excited. It feels right for me to be always surrounded by boxes full of wonders and helping the public access them, it is this kind of job in the shadows that fits my ideals better

Alphabets appear not only in illuminated manuscripts, but also administrative documents.
In this 13th-century coroner's report, the clerk wrote the letter R 24 times, then "Richard son of Geoffrey", then part of the alphabet. Note the last 4 letters look like HOPE or NOPE, which I find funny. 🧵2/3

Jviens de faire un quizz de paléo à partir de ce manuscrit jcrois j'ai perdu mes abo à tout jamais mdrrr au début c'était que des quizz en mode est-ce que vous arrivez à lire avec un clair oui ou non et là j'ai tenté de contextualiser au max et diversifier les questions ça marche pas aussi bien
