I have many other examples of how your article distorts my words but this medium is not the best for long lists. I am
1. not against the DLR connector per se
2. against tokenism in our struggle to meet climate targets
3. against continuing investment in initiatives that cannot prove effectiveness

If we just take the section you posted there:
1: I never referenced any such research
2: I was quoting the engineer. This was not my statement
3: Increased cycling and reduced driving is not evidence of modal shift. This is your inference. Until there is a metric for modal shift we won’t know.

Cian you don’t know me. You never even picked up the phone to talk to me. But you are very swift with you judgements. You emailed me saying you were writing about councillors who are against the DLR connector and yet the article is almost 100% about me and went up within hours of my reply to you.

No all of this is your commentary “Councillor Hurley complained…”.
If twists everything I said to your agenda. Just publish my words!

@cianginty.bsky.social Your article is peppered with misquotes and untruths and omits the key point that neither the NTA is ploughing ahead with GDCNP despite having no evidence that cycle lanes are affecting modal shift. Publish my original email if you have the guts.
