Dad, Product Manager (software), Clon boy. Social Democrats councillor for DLR CoCo Stillorgan LEA. All opinions my own.
Reposts not necessarily an endorsement.
If we just take the section you posted there:
1: I never referenced any such research
2: I was quoting the engineer. This was not my statement
3: Increased cycling and reduced driving is not evidence of modal shift. This is your inference. Until there is a metric for modal shift we won’t know.

My Letter in yesterday’s @irishtimes.com calls on the @centralbankireland.bsky.social and Financial Services Authority of Ireland to insist on a full of list of risks to investors before approving any bonds prospectus from #Israel.

At Roger Casement Summer School, Economics Prof. Mohammad Migdad, recently extracted from #Gaza by Irish Dept. Foreign Affairs gave extremely moving account of last 2 years in Gaza where “everyone is waiting to die”. (See also tinyurl.com/2ndzv9ay )
Will the Irish media tell his story?

On this weekend’s litter pic, the #Stillorgan Tidy Towns group collected a Quinnsworth plastic shopping bag from the 1980s.
It just shows how long these things persist in the environment (if not in the public memory).

This hardy crew braved an early shower and high winds to collect 5 very heavy bags of rubbish in #Stillorgan today.
Lots of heavy metal and glass objects but also lots of insulation, foam, builders gloves, dust masks etc. Thanks to all for your sterling work.
