I am pretty sure these YOI standees are bootleg but I love them anyway. They fit nicely into my Christmas decorating. I got them off eBay. The seller is no longer on there from what I can see.

Digging in my closet which is still a mess since we moved & found all my old sketchbooks. Mixed in with elf references were some photocopies from @edibleflowers.bsky.social sketchbook: her 1st pic of the elf she made in my image, Firefall & of my oc Garnet stargazing with Skywise from ElfQuest 💙

This year’s Christmas windows. I love doing a vintage look. The “popcorn” plaques are authentic vintage as well as the candoliers. All lights are modern but the candle bulbs are LED made to look vintage & are made by @trutonebulbs.bsky.social Pix are from inside & flipped, pic from outside to come.

The Rudolph blow mold I bought. I don’t have batteries but I’m going to get one of those converter things so I can plug it in. I have a hunch it probably won’t be very bright but whatever. 6-year old me who fell in love with Rudolph in kindergarten was screaming in my heart & I had to have him.

Went to Spirit Christmas. Not as impressive as I thought it would be. Took less than 10 mins to see everything and it’s really some decorations, clothes and a bit of gifty stuff. I did however buy a life size light up Rudolph because why not. This guy talked me into it I swear

It is my favorite kind of November day: rain changing over to the first lake effect snow of the year. It’s a vibe ngl. My BFFL coined these kinds of flakes “fluckers” aka “fluffy fuckers”, way back when we were in high school and waiting for early release from school as a storm ramped up.

The first Elf OC I ever made (IIRC) was Garnet. Her tribe lived underground but birthed above ground; due to heavy snow blocking the tunnels out she was born in a garnet-lined cave which made her a gemshaper; she can find gems in rocks & create/shape them with magic. (more)
