This book was... fine? Fascinating if not all that necessary. Also I was irrationally annoyed that like 75% of the pages had footnotes.

Idk how I hadn't read this before, but my goodness it's incredibly written. Harrowing stuff, continuing to confirm I want nothing to do with extreme cold weather adventures.

Fascinating and inspiring stories, and writing that comes on strong at the end. Felt weird to read about the supreme court of 1956 and how they made an actually logical and fair decision considering today's events
