Another book on a polar expedition, another 5⭐ rating from me. I really enjoyed the writing in this one, absolutely gripping at times.

This book was... fine? Fascinating if not all that necessary. Also I was irrationally annoyed that like 75% of the pages had footnotes.

Idk how I hadn't read this before, but my goodness it's incredibly written. Harrowing stuff, continuing to confirm I want nothing to do with extreme cold weather adventures.

Fascinating look at the complicated legacy of Sherman's March. What's not complicated: choosing to associate in any way with the confederacy is for the biggest losers on the planet.

Pretty straightforward book here, although who knew "make a clock that works at sea" would be such a difficult request that took decades to complete

Fascinating and inspiring stories, and writing that comes on strong at the end. Felt weird to read about the supreme court of 1956 and how they made an actually logical and fair decision considering today's events

This was a pretty fun read, which is what I needed after the last few heavier books. Nothing mind-blowing, just 250 pages on how dudes rock
