Killer apes (Robert Ardrey) are the consequence of cerebral cortex wrinkles, which prompt rather than pre-empt murder; members of lower species almost never fight to the death (Dave Grossman). Peaceful wrinkles require a new species that lacks limbs, teeth, and the ability to head-butt.

I like communes but not Bolsheviks who rebrand. With exceptions (Bernie, FDR, Juan García-Oliver, José Mujica, popes Francis and Leo XIV, Melchor Rodríguez García, Thomas Sankara, Zapata, and Zelenskyy), I oppose leaders. Officeholders should be caretaker technocrats who implement referenda.

Revise borders only by plebiscite; accept or reject peace plans only by referenda. v5

Nobody is illegal on stolen land? 1. Any sapient not residing in or under the original tree in E. Africa is guilty. 2. First Americans (Siberian-Americans) stole from other species. 3. Wampanoags et al. had no laws against immigration. 4. Statutes of limitations apply. 5. Use active voice. v3

The punishment for wanting to immigrate to the US is being here--rather than in Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK, or Uruguay. v3

House sellout Dems: Henry Cuellar of Texas, Don Davis of North Carolina, Adam Gray of California, Jared Golden of Maine, Marie Gluesenkamp Perez of Wash., and Tom Suozzi of NY. Two in Republic Party -- Reps. Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Greg Steube of Florida -- voted against the reopening.

Half of the eight sellout senators were young newcomers (counting Hassan 2017+; not counting Kaine 2013+ or Shaheen 2009+). Half were women.

I'm anti-right, anti-left, anti-centrist, and anti-libertarian. Currently, anti-right takes highest priority. People might see me as left, but I oppose Bolshevism, open borders, and quotas. I'm a fairist; I seek fairness for everyone. For example, this post deserves consideration for a Pulitzer.

I’m old enough to remember that Chuck Schumer once spent years relentlessly fighting for a cause.

I can clearly recall him using every leverage point at his disposal and employing a few dirty tricks.

Unfortunately, that fight was against a bike lane on his street, right in front of Prospect Park.

Elementary Watson: While working for Maurice Wilkins, Rosalind Franklin and her assistant Raymond Gosling produced excellent X-rays of the A form of DNA, but Franklin misinterpreted the structure. Watson was aggressive but did not steal the data. In 1953, experimental results were public. 1/2

Rosalind Franklin and her assistant Raymond Gosling took the excellent pictures of the A form of DNA, but she refused to consider a double helix. Watson was aggressive but did not steal the data. In 1953, experimental data was public knowledge.

Draw Congressional districts by algorithms that minimize perimeters. "Latinos deserve a district [in Texas]" (Guardian 2025 Aug 4) is anti-democratic, as is the current Supreme Court's ruling in favor of ensuring a high-melanin district in Alabama. Even CA's "nonpartisan" commission cheated:

Instead of ferreting facts, finding fallacies, choosing alternatives, and seeking fairness, postmoderns actualize, associate, assume, believe, bleat, correlate, download, empower, feel, leverage, link, parrot, pivot, pose, promulgate conspiracy theories, recommend videos, rubberneck, and scroll.
