Also checked to see if Chelsea Manning is showing any solidarity with Palestine here. She is not. Not here, not on IG, not on Twitter. Julian Assange did even while he was still in prison and it probably wasn't helping his case. Not impressed.

So in Capoeira this week we were doing handstands. We did stretches for over an hour, and did handstands for fewer than ten minutes, because it turns out handstands are extremely difficult. I kept thinking this was the kind of warm up ballet dancers do, and with good reason. Still can't do them.

I am very much in favour of girls fighting in MMA, mainly because inevitably some will turn out to be too heavy for the maximum weight class for women, 145lbs, and I doubt they will be that willing to give up as adults when you could just have higher weight classes.

Apparently in Capoeira it's a tradition to give group members a nickname, and my group want to call me Panda, because I do Kung Fu, which is sooo awesome. They also checked with me before the thing where they give the names out, really nice of them. I am genuinely so pleased that was their choice.

I have seen two distinct strains on the left of apologism for Russell Brand being an alleged rapist and they are both Bullshit.
First: in no way does Russell Brand's case compare to Julian Assange. Russell has been accused of far worse than Julian ever was, and on much better evidence.

After about four months of regularly attending Capoeira lessons I have come to the conclusion it's like a combination of Dragon and Monkey style Kung Fu, not one you normally come across in Kung Fu. Maybe I should work on that. Could be the next form I make up. Except I need to learn Monkey first.
